Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10

Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women

• Managing neuroendocrine tumours of pancreas, stomach and intestines

• Management of advanced kidney cancer

• Treatment of brain tumours associated with tuberous sclerosis

• Prevention of kidney transplant rejection.

• Take this tablet at the same time each day.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food or as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Store at room temperature away from moisture and light.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment.

Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10 contains everolimus (5 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Immune system suppression: Everolimus reduces the activity of your immune system, preventing it from attacking and rejecting a transplanted organ.

• Cancer cell growth inhibition: It targets and blocks abnormal proteins responsible for the growth and multiplication of cancer cells, helping to slow down or stop the progression of certain cancers.

• Anti-angiogenic effect: Everolimus decreases the blood supply to tumours by inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels, thereby restricting nutrients and oxygen that cancer cells need to grow and spread within your body.

• Store Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature between 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging in a tightly closed container.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store in a safe place out of reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you are taking Rapact 5 MG Tablet 10 for cancer management, maintain adequate nutrition with a balanced diet rich in proteins to help your body cope with the treatment.

• Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can increase the amount of everolimus in your blood, potentially leading to more side effects.
