Ranspas Tablet 10 is used for:

• Management of irritable bowel syndrome

• Relieving abdominal pain and diarrhoea associated with IBS

• Controlling bloating and constipation in IBS patients

• Relief from heartburn and acid indigestion

• Management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Alleviation of symptoms in active duodenal ulcer cases

• Treatment of active gastric ulcer conditions

• Control of erosive oesophagitis symptoms

• Addressing pathological hypersecretory conditions

To properly take Ranspas Tablet 10, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glassful of water

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet

• Do not consume more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor first

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first

Ranspas Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Ranspas Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Dicyclomine (10 mg): As an antispasmodic, dicyclomine relaxes the smooth muscles of your gut, which helps in relieving spasms and cramps in your stomach and intestines. It acts by inhibiting the action of acetylcholine at muscarinic receptors in your gut and reduces gastrointestinal secretions and peristalsis

• Ranitidine (150 mg): As an H2 blocker antacid, ranitidine reduces stomach acid production. It binds to an H2 receptor on the gastric parietal cell, blocking histamine effects. This action leads to a reduction in gastric acid secretion, gastric volume, and hydrogen ion concentration

Together, the antispasmodic and antacid actions of dicyclomine and ranitidine help in managing common IBS symptoms.
