Radotil 100 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing acute diarrhoea episodes in adults
• Supporting the treatment of acute diarrhoea in children above 3 months old
• Complementary treatment when fluid and dietary measures are not enough to manage acute diarrhoea

Take Radotil 100 MG Tablet 10 in the following way:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Follow your doctor's advice on the exact dose you should take.
• It is crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Radotil 100 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally. 

Radotil 100 MG Tablet 10 contains the following component:

• Racecadotril (100 mg): After ingestion, the racecadotril is rapidly converted into its active form, thiorphan. Thiorphan acts by inhibiting the enzyme enkephalinase, which normally breaks down enkephalins—naturally occurring chemicals in the body that regulate processes such as water and electrolyte secretion in the intestines. By blocking enkephalinase, thiorphan raises the levels of enkephalins in the gastrointestinal tract, helping reduce excessive water and electrolyte secretion without affecting intestinal transit time. This action effectively controls acute diarrhea while preserving normal digestive function.

• Do not use this medicine if the expiry date has passed.
