Racedonol 100 Capsule 10 is used to manage acute diarrhea in both adults and children above 3 months. It works by reducing the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes in the intestines, helping to control diarrhea when other fluid replacement and dietary measures aren't enough.

Take Racedonol 100 Capsule 10 in the following way:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.
• Follow your doctor's advice on the exact dose you should take.
• It is crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Racedonol 100 Capsule 10 is taken orally. 

Racedonol 100 Capsule 10 contains the following component:

• Racecadotril (100 mg): It is an anti-secretory enkephalinase inhibitor that works by selective inhibition of the endopeptidase enzyme. This enzyme is found in the cell membranes of the small intestine region of the gastrointestinal tract. This medicine has an antisecretory effect as it reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine which will help restore the fluids lost due to diarrhoea.  

• Store this product below 25 degrees Celsius. 
• Keep this medicine away from the reach and sight of children. 
• Do not use this medicine if the expiry date has passed. 
• Protect this medicine from excessive light and moisture.

• When managing acute diarrhoea with this medicine, staying hydrated is essential. Make sure you or your child drinks plenty of fluids like water, herbal teas, or rehydration solutions to restore lost electrolytes.
• During episodes of diarrhoea, choose a bland diet. Include foods like rice, toast, bananas, and applesauce, as these are gentle on the stomach and can help firm up stools.
• Children should be given easy-to-digest foods, and foods that aggravate diarrhoea, such as spicy foods, should be avoided.
