PREVOG 0.2 MG Tablet 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes, alongside diet and exercise. It is particularly helpful in reducing the rise in blood sugar that happens straight after meals, helping to keep glucose levels steadier through the day.
It contains voglibose, which belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-glucosidase inhibitors that slow the digestion of carbohydrates in the gut. Take it just before each main meal as prescribed.
A balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate intake, regular activity, keeping to a healthy weight and routine blood sugar monitoring support better control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any bowel problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Flatulence and loose motions are common at first and often ease with time. If you also take a sulfonylurea or insulin and have low blood sugar, treat it with glucose (not ordinary sugar). Report severe or ongoing stomach pain.
