Pramipex 1 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremor, muscle stiffness and slow movement, and to treat moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome. It contains pramipexole, a dopamine agonist.
Pramipexole works by mimicking the action of dopamine, a natural brain chemical that helps control movement. Take this tablet by mouth as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking it regularly, even when your symptoms improve, and do not stop suddenly without your doctor's advice.
Staying physically active with gentle, regular exercise can help maintain mobility and balance. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you, as it can cause sudden sleepiness.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, low blood pressure, or a history of hallucinations or compulsive behaviours. Tell your doctor if you notice unusual urges, such as compulsive gambling or shopping, or if you feel excessively drowsy or faint. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by your doctor.
