PLATLOC AS 150/75 MG CAPSULE 10 is used to help prevent blood clots in people at high risk of heart attack and stroke.

Uses of Clopinol-AP 75/150 Capsule are:

• Heart Attack and Stroke: Helps prevent these events in high-risk people.
• After Stent Placement: Helps prevent blood clots forming around a coronary stent.
• Vascular Protection: Helps maintain blood flow in narrowed or diseased arteries.

Follow these instructions while taking PLATLOC AS 150/75 MG CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the capsule.

• Take your medicine at the same time each day to maintain its effect.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.

• If you have trouble swallowing capsules, consult your doctor.

PLATLOC AS 150/75 MG CAPSULE 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (150 mg): This ingredient works as an antiplatelet agent by inhibiting an enzyme called cyclooxygenase. This inhibition prevents the production of thromboxane A2, a chemical that promotes platelet aggregation (the sticking together of blood cells), thereby reducing the risk of blood clots forming inside narrowed arteries.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): This component acts as an adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptor antagonist. It prevents platelet aggregation by selectively inhibiting the binding of ADP to its platelet receptor called P2Y12, which inhibits the activation of the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex. This process effectively reduces platelet clustering and prevents blood clot formation.

• Store PLATLOC AS 150/75 MG CAPSULE 10 at room temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original strip packaging until needed.

• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
