• Potassium binding: It traps excess potassium in the resin complex, preventing it from being absorbed into your bloodstream.

• Elimination process: The bound potassium is then eliminated from your body through faeces, effectively reducing the amount of free potassium in your system.

• Gradual reduction: Through this mechanism, it gradually lowers serum potassium levels over a period of hours to days, helping to restore normal potassium balance.
