Addphos Granules 3.2gm may interact with the following medications:

• Sodium phosphate-containing products, including rectal preparations: There is an increased risk of phosphate toxicity when used together.
• Potassium phosphate preparations: There is an increased risk of electrolyte imbalance when used together.

Addphos Granules 3.2gm may interact with the following foods:

• High-phosphate foods: It may enhance phosphate levels and increase the risk of adverse effects when consumed in excess. Excessive intake should be avoided in high-risk patients.
  
   

Addphos Granules 3.2gm may interact with the following conditions:

• Congestive heart failure: Fluid shifts and sodium load may worsen fluid overload, oedema, and cardiac function.
• Bowel obstruction: Use may increase intraluminal pressure, raising the risk of bowel perforation and serious gastrointestinal complications. These granules are contraindicated in bowel obstruction.
• Toxic megacolon: Stimulatory bowel effects can aggravate colonic dilatation and increase the risk of perforation.
• Inflammatory bowel disease: Sodium acid phosphate may worsen mucosal irritation and precipitate severe inflammation or bleeding.
• Electrolyte imbalance: It can cause or exacerbate hyperphosphataemia, hypocalcaemia, and sodium imbalance, leading to systemic complications. These granules are contraindicated in known electrolyte abnormalities.
• History of seizures: Electrolyte shifts associated with use may lower the seizure threshold and trigger seizure activity.
• Severe dehydration: Sodium acid phosphate can worsen fluid and electrolyte loss, increasing the risk of acute kidney injury, hypotension, and serious electrolyte imbalance. These granules are contraindicated in such cases.
• Gastric retention: Delayed gastric emptying may cause incomplete bowel cleansing and increase the risk of nausea, vomiting, or aspiration during procedures. These granules are contraindicated in such cases.

The daily dose of Addphos Granules 3.2gm is decided by the doctor based on phosphate levels, age, kidney function, and clinical response. Follow the prescribed dosage strictly.
 

Overdose of Addphos Granules 3.2gm may lead to electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, low blood pressure, kidney injury, or cardiac rhythm disturbances. Seek immediate medical attention in case of suspected overdose.
 

If a dose of Addphos Granules 3.2gm is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
