Pazoci 200 Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of advanced kidney cancer

• Management of metastatic renal cell carcinoma

• Therapy for kidney cancer that has spread

• Treatment of advanced soft tissue sarcoma

• Management of soft tissue cancer in adults

• Therapy for cancers affecting supportive tissues

• Treatment of cancers in muscles and blood vessels

• Management of cancers in fat tissues

• Therapy for cancers affecting tissues around organs

Follow these instructions while taking Pazoci 200 Tablet:

• Take this medicine daily on an empty stomach.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Take at least one hour before meals or two hours after eating.

• Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

• Store at room temperature away from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice about your treatment.

Pazoci 200 Tablet is taken orally.

Pazoci 200 Tablet contains pazopanib (200 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Tyrosine Kinase Inhibition: Pazopanib blocks multiple protein kinases (special enzymes) that are involved in cancer growth and development, preventing cancer cells from growing and dividing.

• Angiogenesis Inhibition: It specifically targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), which are proteins that help tumours develop new blood vessels to sustain their growth, a process called angiogenesis.

• Blood Vessel Growth Prevention: By inhibiting these proteins, pazopanib effectively slows down the growth of blood vessels that feed tumours, cutting off their nutrient and oxygen supply.

• Cancer Cell Death: Without an adequate blood supply, cancer cells cannot grow or spread and eventually die, helping to slow or stop the progression of the cancer.

• Store Pazoci 200 Tablet at room temperature in its original packaging.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store in a dry place where children cannot reach it.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Discard any unused medicine properly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.

• Blood pressure management: Since Pazoci 200 Tablet often causes high blood pressure (hypertension), follow a low-sodium diet by avoiding processed foods, canned soups, and salty snacks.

• Maintain nutrition: As kidney cancer and soft tissue sarcoma can affect your appetite, eat small, frequent, nutrient-dense meals to prevent weight loss and maintain your strength during treatment.
