Eating smaller meals, avoiding spicy or fried food, and cutting down on caffeine and alcohol can help reduce acid-related symptoms alongside this medicine. Avoiding late-night meals and elevating the head of your bed can also help with night-time reflux.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any ongoing illness or other medicines you are taking, particularly if you have low magnesium levels or bone-related conditions. Contact your doctor if you notice unusual bruising, bleeding, yellowing of the skin or eyes, muscle spasms, or severe loose motions.
