P40 DSR Capsule is used to treat acidity, heartburn and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and supports healing of stomach and food-pipe ulcers while relieving indigestion and general digestive discomfort.

Uses of P40 DSR Capsule are:

• GERD and Heartburn: Reduces stomach acid and relieves the burning sensation of acid reflux.

• Peptic Ulcers: Supports healing of ulcers in the stomach and food pipe.

• Indigestion: Eases bloating, gas and general digestive discomfort.

To effectively use P40 DSR Capsule, follow these steps:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water
• Do not crush, chew or open the capsule
• Take this medicine at least 30 minutes before a meal for optimal absorption

P40 DSR Capsule is taken orally.

P40 DSR Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together:

Pantoprazole (40 mg): Classified as a proton pump inhibitor, pantoprazole works by binding irreversibly to a particular enzyme in your stomach known as the hydrogen-potassium ATPase enzyme system, or simply the proton pump. This action reduces the production of stomach acid, allowing oesophageal healing and preventing further irritation.

Domperidone (30 mg): As a prokinetic agent, domperidone works by blocking dopamine receptors in your body. This increases the movement of the upper part of your digestive system and prevents the contents of your stomach from flowing back into your oesophagus. It also acts as an antiemetic, meaning it helps prevent nausea and vomiting by blocking a certain area in your brain called the chemoreceptor trigger zone.

• Store P40 DSR Capsule at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.
• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Always store this medicine out of reach of children.
• Make sure you use this capsule before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• For managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try to eat smaller meals more frequently instead of three large meals a day. This can reduce stomach pressure and decrease reflux into the oesophagus.
• If you're dealing with GERD or peptic ulcers, limit the intake of spicy, fatty foods and caffeinated beverages as they may irritate your stomach lining and worsen your symptoms.
