Oxyspas 2.5 Tablet contains Oxybutynin (2.5mg), which functions in the body as follows:

• Relaxation of the Detrusor Muscle: Oxybutynin relaxes the detrusor muscle in the bladder wall. This muscle is responsible for the contraction and relaxation that controls urine storage and release. By relaxing this muscle, the medicine helps improve bladder control.

• Blocking Acetylcholine: Oxybutynin acts on the muscarinic receptors in the body. These receptors interact with acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter responsible for bladder muscle contractions. By blocking these receptors, Oxybutynin prevents acetylcholine from triggering unwanted contractions, thereby reducing urinary urgency and incontinence.
