Onvin-4 MD Tablet is used to prevent and control nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery in adults.

Uses of Onvin-4 MD Tablet are:

• Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea: Prevents and controls vomiting caused by cancer treatment.

• Radiation-Induced Nausea: Helps control nausea linked with radiation therapy.

• Post-Surgical Nausea: Prevents nausea and vomiting after surgery.

Follow these instructions while taking Onvin 4mg Tablet MD:

• Place the tablet on your tongue and let it dissolve naturally. Avoid swallowing it whole.
• Keep your hands dry when handling the tablet.
• You can take this medicine with or without food but aim to take it at the same time each day.
• Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration.

Onvin 4mg Tablet MD is taken orally.

Onvin 4mg Tablet MD contains ondansetron (4 mg), which has a specific action on the body:

• Serotonin Blocking: Ondansetron works by selectively blocking serotonin's action at the 5-HT3 receptors in the brain.
• Prevention of Nausea and Vomiting: By blocking serotonin, a chemical messenger believed to trigger nausea and vomiting during medical treatments and post-surgery, ondansetron effectively prevents these symptoms.

• Store Onvin 4mg Tablet MD at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Consuming small, frequent meals instead of large ones can also help manage these symptoms. Opt for bland foods that are easy on your stomach, like rice or bananas.
