Olmezest CH 20 Tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is commonly prescribed when single-medicine therapy does not control blood pressure adequately or as an initial combination therapy for individuals who require multiple medicines.
It contains olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic. Take this medicine as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time every day. Keep taking it regularly even if you feel completely healthy, because high blood pressure often causes no symptoms. Do not discontinue the medicine suddenly without medical guidance.
Lifestyle modifications play a crucial role in controlling high blood pressure. These include maintaining a low-sodium diet, engaging in regular physical exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting alcohol consumption as advised by your doctor.
Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver conditions, gout, or electrolyte imbalances such as low potassium or high uric acid. It must not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and blood salts may be required.
