Olmesar CH 20 Tablet is a medicine used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It is prescribed as an initial therapy for patients needing dual therapy or as a step-up treatment when olmesartan alone does not lower blood pressure adequately.
It contains olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker, and chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day. Continue taking it regularly even if you feel completely fine, as high blood pressure often exhibits no warning signs. Do not stop treatment abruptly without medical consultation.
Adopting healthy habits helps keep blood pressure under control. Maintain a diet low in salt and fat, exercise regularly, manage body weight, and avoid tobacco and excess alcohol as recommended by your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, disclose any history of kidney disease, liver conditions, gout, or electrolyte imbalances to your doctor. It must be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Blood tests may be required periodically to monitor kidney function and electrolyte levels.
