Olmat-40 Tablet is used for managing high blood pressure in adults. It reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes and helps prevent kidney complications in diabetes patients, making it an essential part of cardiovascular health management.

Olmat-40 Tablet consists of olmesartan medoxomil (40 mg), which works as follows:

• Blocks Angiotensin II Receptors: Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks certain receptors in your body known as angiotensin II receptors. These receptors are typically activated by a hormone called angiotensin II, which constricts your blood vessels and causes your blood pressure to rise.

• Vasodilation: By blocking these receptors, Olmesartan Medoxomil prevents the action of angiotensin II. This results in the dilation or widening of your blood vessels which allows for easier blood flow.

• Reduction of Aldosterone Secretion: Aldosterone is a hormone that promotes water retention in your body leading to increased blood volume and pressure. Olmesartan Medoxomil inhibits aldosterone secretion thus reducing fluid volume and lowering blood pressure.

• Keep your Olmat-40 Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Protect it from moisture and keep the container tightly closed.

• Always ensure the medicine is out of sight and reach of children.

• Check the expiry date on the pack and do not use it past this date.

• If you're taking Olmat-40 Tablet for hypertension, try to cut down on your salt intake. Too much salt can raise blood pressure.
