Oflotas-OZ Tablet consists of two key components:

• Ofloxacin (200 mg): This antibiotic component falls under the category of fluoroquinolones. It works by obstructing two crucial enzymes in bacterial cells: DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are vital for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By inhibiting these enzymes, ofloxacin effectively eliminates bacteria and manages the infection.
• Ornidazole (500 mg): This component belongs to the nitroimidazole antibiotic class and targets anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites. Once inside the bacterial cells, ornidazole undergoes reduction to form reactive intermediates, which disrupt the DNA of bacteria and parasites, causing cell death.
