Normet Tablet 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonists: The combination of molecules in this medicine could lead to increased levels of alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonists tizanidine in your blood, potentially causing undesirable effects like low blood pressure or sedation.
• Xanthines: Using both medications might increase levels of xanthines like theophylline, risking side effects such as rapid heart rate and seizures.
• Blood thinners like warfarin, when taken along with this medicine, could enhance the anticoagulant effect of warfarin, raising the risk of bleeding complications.
• Cyclosporine: A combination of both medications may raise cyclosporine levels, leading to kidney problems.
• Tricyclic antidepressants taken along with this medication could risk the possibility of increasing side effects like dizziness and confusion.
• NSAIDs used together with this medication might heighten the risk of seizures or convulsions.

Certain food items can interfere with Normet Tablet 10. Those include:

• Dairy products: Foods rich in calcium, like milk or yoghurt, may decrease the absorption of ofloxacin.

Normet Tablet 10 can interact with the following diseases:

• Epilepsy: This medicine could potentially trigger seizures or fits.
• G6PD enzyme deficiency: People with this condition may be at risk of developing haemolytic anaemia (breakdown of red blood cells) while taking this medication.
• Severe renal impairment: In patients with severe kidney disease, there's a potential for accumulation of ornidazole, thereby increasing the risk of side effects.
• Myasthenia gravis: This condition could worsen with the use of this medicine due to its neuromuscular blocking activity.

Always take the daily dose of Normet Tablet 10 as suggested by your doctor. Your doctor may adjust the dosage based on factors like your health condition and response to the medicine. Always stick to the prescribed dosage and never alter it without seeking your doctor's advice.
