NOBEGLAR Injection is used for the management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood glucose levels by providing steady background insulin, reducing fasting blood sugar.

Follow these instructions while receiving Nobeglar Injection 5ml:

• It should be administered by a certified professional. You can also self-administer it after practising administration techniques under the guidance of a doctor.

• It is given as a subcutaneous injection only.

• Rotate injection sites within the same area (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm).

• Inspect the solution before use; it should be clear and colourless.

• Do not use if the solution appears cloudy or discoloured.

• It is never administered into a vein or muscle.

Nobeglar Injection 5ml contains insulin glargine (100 IU), which works on the body as follows:

• Glucose uptake facilitation: Insulin glargine binds to insulin receptors on cell surfaces, triggering a series of cellular events that increase glucose transporter activity, helping move glucose from the bloodstream into muscle and fat cells.

• Hepatic glucose suppression: It reduces glucose production by the liver (hepatic glucose), which helps lower blood sugar levels.

• Prolonged action mechanism: Unlike regular insulin, insulin glargine forms tiny deposits (microprecipitates) at the injection site due to its special pH properties, creating a reservoir that slowly releases active insulin over approximately 24 hours.

• Supports anabolic processes such as protein synthesis: This medicine encourages protein building in the body, which is an important metabolic function that can be affected in diabetes.

• Store unopened Nobeglar Injection 5ml in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C.

• Once in use, keep at room temperature below 30°C for up to 28 days.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
