CompositionNikoran Od 10 Tablet is used to prevent and provide long-term treatment of the chest pain of angina in adults. It is a single-ingredient potassium channel activator containing nicorandil.
It is particularly used when other anti-angina medicines cannot be used. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. A headache is common at first and usually settles as your body adjusts. Continue it even when you feel well and do not stop it suddenly.
Avoid heavy exertion and large meals, quit smoking, limit alcohol and rest when you have chest pain.
Never take it with medicines for erectile dysfunction such as sildenafil, as together they can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Before starting, tell your doctor about your medical conditions, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report any mouth, gut or anal ulcers that do not heal. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
