Newtel H 80 Tablet 10 are used for the following:

• Lowering high blood pressure levels in adults
• Managing hypertension in patients not adequately responding to single-medicine therapy
• Reducing the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, specifically strokes and heart attacks
• May be used alongside other antihypertensive agents for comprehensive blood pressure control

• Swallow each tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing or dividing the tablet.
• The medicine can be taken with or without food. However, it is important to maintain consistency with respect to food intake.
• Don't exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.
• Never stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Newtel H 80 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

The effectiveness of Newtel H 80 Tablet 10 comes from the combined action of two active ingredients:

• Telmisartan (80 mg): Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. It works by blocking the binding of a substance called angiotensin II to certain receptors in your body, such as vascular smooth muscle and adrenal glands. By doing so, it limits the vasoconstrictor (blood vessel narrowing) effects and aldosterone-secreting (a hormone that can increase blood pressure) effects of angiotensin II, which helps reduce blood pressure.
• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): This component is a thiazide diuretic. It works by increasing the amount of salt and water your body gets rid of through urine. This reduces the volume of fluid in your bloodstream, which in turn lowers your blood pressure.
