Gramogyl New Tablet 10

Gramogyl New Tablet 10 is used to manage bacterial diarrhoea.

Uses of Gramogyl New Tablet 10 are:

• Bacterial Diarrhoea: Treats infections caused by bacteria such as E. coli, Shigella and Salmonella.
• Amoebic Dysentery: Treats intestinal amoebiasis caused by Entamoeba histolytica.
• Giardiasis: Treats intestinal infection caused by Giardia lamblia.
• Trichomoniasis: Treats this sexually transmitted infection caused by Trichomonas vaginalis.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.
• Take the medicine with food for better absorption and to avoid stomach upset.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless your doctor advises you otherwise.
• Remember, it's important not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Gramogyl New Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Gramogyl New Tablet 10 contains two active components:

• Norfloxacin (400 mg): This ingredient belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics. It manages bacterial infections by blocking certain enzymes in bacteria called DNA-gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are crucial for bacteria to replicate their DNA and reproduce. By inhibiting these enzymes, Norfloxacin causes the bacteria to die.
• Tinidazole (600 mg): Tinidazole is an antimicrobial agent that works against anaerobic bacteria and certain parasites. It enters these organisms and undergoes a chemical reaction that produces toxic substances. These toxic substances damage the DNA of these organisms, resulting in their death.

• Store Gramogyl New Tablet 10 in a tightly closed container.
• Keep the medicine at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.
• Remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.
