Azax-250 Tablet is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including those affecting the respiratory tract, ear, nose, throat, skin and eyes, as well as typhoid fever and certain sexually transmitted infections.

Uses of Azax-250 Tablet are:

• Respiratory and ENT Infections: Treats infections of the respiratory tract, ear, nose and throat.
• Skin and Eye Infections: Treats bacterial infections affecting the skin and eyes.
• Typhoid Fever: Treats enteric fever (typhoid).
• Sexually Transmitted Infections: Treats certain bacterial infections such as gonorrhoea.

Follow these instructions while taking Azax-250 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for consistent absorption.

• It can be taken with or without food, as per your comfort.

• Always follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration of medication.

Azax-250 Tablet contains azithromycin (250 mg) that works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Bacterial Growth Prevention: By disrupting protein synthesis, azithromycin effectively halts bacterial growth and multiplication. This prevents the infection from spreading further in your body.

• Store Azax-250 Tablet at a cool temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.

• Keep it in a safe place out of the reach and sight of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you have a respiratory infection, drink plenty of fluids like water, clear soups, and herbal tea to help loosen mucus and keep your throat moist.

• For those managing sexually transmitted diseases, use protection during sexual activity to avoid reinfection or spreading the infection to others.
