Nevanac Eye Drops are a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ophthalmic formulation used to prevent and treat ocular pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.
It contains nepafenac, a prodrug that penetrates the cornea and converts into amfenac, which inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes to stop prostaglandin production and reduce pain and tissue swelling. Instill the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye as instructed by your eye surgeon.
Wash your hands thoroughly before use and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to maintain sterility.
Inform your ophthalmologist if you have bleeding tendencies, diabetes, or a history of previous eye surgeries.
