Nevanac Eye Drops is used to reduce pain and inflammation after cataract surgery by targeting swelling in the eye. It is also used to prevent postoperative discomfort, control redness, and support faster healing with its anti-inflammatory action.

• Before using the eye drops, make sure your hands are clean.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Position your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Hold the dropper directly over your eye and instill one drop into the lower cul-de-sac, that's the space between your lower eyelid and eyeball.
• Look downwards and gently close your eye for a minute or two to allow the drops to spread evenly.
• Immediately replace and tighten the cap after using.
• If you are using more than one type of eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes before applying the next one. Always consult your doctor for specific guidance.

Nevanac Eye Drops consist of two active ingredients:

• Nepafenac (0.1%): Once administered through the eye, nepafenac penetrates the cornea and is converted into amfenac by enzymes in the ocular tissues. Amfenac is another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent that reduces pain and swelling by inhibiting an enzyme called prostaglandin H synthase or cyclooxygenase. This enzyme is responsible for producing prostaglandins which cause inflammation and pain.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.005%): This ingredient serves as a preservative in the formulation, maintaining its sterility and extending its shelf life.
• These two components work together to effectively manage postoperative inflammation and pain in patients who have undergone cataract surgery.

• Store Nevanac Eye Drops at a cool room temperature.
• Keep the bottle away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
• Ensure the dropper tip doesn't touch any surfaces to avoid contamination.
• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
• Remember to use the eye drops within 28 days of opening the bottle and before its expiry date.
