Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension is used in adults to lower raised pressure inside the eye when a single eye drop is not providing enough control.

Uses of Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension are:

• Open-angle Glaucoma: Lowers raised intraocular pressure to protect the optic nerve.
• Ocular Hypertension: Reduces high eye pressure in adults.
• Combination Therapy: Used when a single eye pressure-lowering medicine is insufficient.

Using Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension requires careful attention. Here's how you should proceed:

• Shake well before use. This ensures that the contents are mixed properly.
• Remember to directly instill the drops it into your eye and avoid touching your eye with the dropper tip.
• If you're using more than one type of eye medication, wait at least 5 minutes between each one. This ensures that each medicine has enough time to be absorbed properly.
• Before instilling, remember to remove any contact lenses you might be wearing. You can reinsert them 15 minutes after application.

Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension is applied topically.

Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension contains two active ingredients that work together to reduce intraocular pressure:

• Brinzolamide (1%): This component works by inhibiting an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase II in the ciliary epithelium of your eye. This inhibition results in a decrease in aqueous humour secretion, the fluid produced in your eye.
• Brimonidine (0.2%): Brimonidine operates by decreasing the production of aqueous humour and increasing its outflow through a pathway known as uveoscleral outflow.

• Store Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension in a cool, dry place; the ideal temperature is below 30°C.
• Keep it away from direct sunlight.
• Always ensure the product is kept out of the reach of children.
• Use it before its expiry date.
• Discard any remaining suspension four weeks after first opening.
