Simbrinza Ophthalmic Suspension is used to lower raised pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure) in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, particularly when one medicine alone is not providing enough control. Lowering eye pressure helps reduce the risk of optic nerve damage and vision loss.
It is a combination of two medicines that reduce intraocular pressure through different mechanisms. Shake the bottle well before use. Apply the drops exactly as prescribed; close the eye gently and press on the inner corner for about one minute after instilling to reduce systemic absorption.
Attending regular eye clinic appointments for eye pressure monitoring is an important part of managing glaucoma. Tell your doctor if your vision changes or if eye symptoms worsen.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any breathing problems (such as asthma), heart conditions, kidney problems, or depression, as one of the components can affect these. Remove contact lenses before applying and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
