CompositionMICRONAC PF Eye Drops are used to manage pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery. This medicine contains nepafenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which inhibits the production of prostaglandins, chemicals in the body that cause pain and inflammation.
Nepafenac works by blocking the production of prostaglandins in the eye, which reduces pain, inflammation and swelling following cataract surgery, and also helps lower the risk of a related complication that can affect central vision.
Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye, as your doctor advises, usually beginning the day before surgery and continuing for the period recommended afterwards.
Remove contact lenses before use, and avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or any surface to prevent contamination. Tell your doctor if you notice worsening eye pain, redness or vision changes.
