Brio B Eye Drops 5Ml

Brio-B Eye Drops are used for the following:

• Reducing high pressure inside the eye

• Managing open-angle glaucoma

• Treating ocular hypertension

• Treating and controlling inner eye pressure

• Helping patients unresponsive to beta-blockers and prostaglandin analogues

• Preventing optic nerve damage due to high eye pressure

Follow these instructions when using Brio-B Eye Drops:

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before using the drops.

• Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

• Hold the dropper tip close to your eye without touching any part of your eye.

• Squeeze the bottle gently to release one drop into the pocket formed by your lower eyelid.

• Close your eye and press your finger against the inner corner for 1-2 minutes.

• Replace and tighten the cap immediately after use.

• Wait at least five minutes before using any other eye medicines.

Brio-B Eye Drops are instilled topically.

Brio-B Eye Drops contain three active ingredients:

• Brinzolamide (1%): A carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces the production of fluid in the eye. It works by slowing down the formation of bicarbonate ions, which leads to decreased fluid transport in the eye's ciliary body.

• Brimonidine (0.2%): An alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist that lowers eye pressure in two ways. It decreases the production of aqueous humour (the clear fluid in the front part of the eye) and increases the outflow of this fluid through the uveoscleral pathway.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): A preservative that maintains the sterility of the eye drops. It protects the solution from contamination by disrupting the cell membranes of microorganisms that might otherwise grow in the solution.

• Store at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed and protect it from light exposure.

• Do not freeze the eye drops.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Maintain a diet rich in antioxidants (found in colourful fruits and vegetables), which may help protect your eyes from oxidative stress associated with glaucoma and high eye pressure.

• If you spend long hours looking at computers or digital devices, follow the 20-20-20 rule—every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to reduce eye strain.
