Nebistar Sa Tablet 15

Nebistar-SA Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults, either as initial treatment or combined with other medicines when a single medicine does not provide adequate control.

Uses of Nebistar-SA Tablet are:

• Hypertension Control: Helps manage high blood pressure.
• Combination Therapy: Used alongside other medicines when a single medicine is not enough to control blood pressure.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Avoid taking more than what your doctor has recommended.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Nebistar-SA Tablet is taken orally.

Nebistar-SA Tablet consists of the following two components:

• Nebivolol (5 mg): This ingredient selectively blocks beta1-adrenergic receptors in your heart. By doing so, it reduces the heart rate and contractility–the ability of your heart to contract and pump blood. Moreover, nebivolol enhances the release of nitric oxide from your endothelium–the inner lining of your blood vessels–which promotes their widening (vasodilation) and thus lowers peripheral resistance–resistance to blood flow in your small arteries and arterioles.

• S-Amlodipine (2.5 mg): This component works by inhibiting the influx of calcium through L-type calcium channels located in vascular smooth muscle cells–the muscle cells in your blood vessels. As a result, these muscles relax causing vasodilation which further reduces peripheral resistance. Due to its selective action on S-enantiomer receptors, S-Amlodipine exhibits higher efficacy with fewer side effects compared to racemic amlodipine.

• Store Nebistar-SA Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 30°C.

• Protect it from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children to prevent accidental consumption.

• Ensure that you use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you have been prescribed Nebistar-SA Tablet for hypertension, try to limit your salt intake. Consuming too much salt can further increase your blood pressure.

• Regular gentle exercise like walking or cycling can also help manage high blood pressure. But remember, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise programme.
