CompositionMOXIKEM DT 250 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, skin and urinary tract. It contains amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, and is also a key component in triple therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori bacteria in patients with peptic ulcers.
Amoxicillin works by stopping bacteria from building their protective cell wall, which kills the bacteria and clears the infection, and when combined with other medicines it helps eliminate H. pylori infection linked to peptic ulcers.
Dissolve this dispersible tablet in a small amount of water before consumption, as it is designed for children or patients who have difficulty swallowing whole pills, and complete the full course exactly as prescribed to ensure the infection does not return.
Tell your child's doctor if you have a known allergy to penicillin. Seek medical attention immediately if a skin rash or breathing difficulty occurs after taking a dose.
