Moxicon 0.5% Eye Drop is an antibiotic eye medicine used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye). It helps clear the underlying infection and relieve associated symptoms like redness and discharge.
It contains moxifloxacin. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the drops. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid, and instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye. Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface or to your eye to avoid contamination.
Maintain good eye hygiene during treatment. Wipe away any ocular discharge with a clean, damp cotton pad, and avoid touching or rubbing your eyes. Do not wear contact lenses until the infection has completely cleared.
Before using these eye drops, tell your doctor if you have known allergies to fluoroquinolone antibiotics or wear contact lenses. Seek medical attention if you experience severe eye pain, worsening redness, or persistent vision changes.
