Montovent-LC Tablet is a medicine used to manage symptoms of asthma and respiratory allergies in children. It helps provide relief from frequent sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, chest tightness, wheezing, and itchy or watery eyes caused by hay fever or environmental triggers.
It is a combination medicine containing a leukotriene receptor antagonist and a second-generation antihistamine. It should be given to your child exactly as prescribed by the paediatrician, with or without food. Continue giving the medicine for as long as advised by the paediatrician to help control symptoms.
Adopting simple habits can support your child's respiratory comfort and allergy management. These include keeping indoor play areas clean and dust-free, minimising exposure to known triggers like pet dander or sudden temperature changes, and ensuring proper hydration throughout the day.
Before starting this medicine, tell your paediatrician if your child has a history of liver or kidney disorders, or experiences unusual mood or behavioural changes. Inform your doctor about all other ongoing treatments to ensure a safe combination. Seek immediate advice if breathing difficulty worsens.
