Montelukast reduces airway inflammation and prevents the narrowing of airways, while levocetirizine blocks histamine to relieve sneezing, a runny nose and itching, together easing cough, congestion and allergy-related symptoms.
Take this tablet daily, usually in the evening, as your doctor prescribes, and continue taking it regularly for as long as advised.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, or a history of mood changes, since montelukast has rarely been linked with mood or sleep disturbance. This medicine can cause drowsiness, so take care while driving.
