MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10 is used for the following:

• Prevention of frequent migraine headaches

• Management of classical migraine attacks

• Prophylactic treatment of disabling migraines

• Prevention of long-lasting migraine episodes

• Management of migraines interfering with daily activities

• Prophylaxis for common migraine

• Prevention of recurrent migraine attacks

Follow these instructions while taking MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• This medicine is best taken at night before bedtime.

• Take it consistently at the same time each day.

• Continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor, even if you feel better.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, skip it if it's almost time for your next dose.

• Consult your doctor for specific advice on how to use this medicine.

MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to prevent migraines:

• Flunarizine (10 mg): As a selective calcium channel blocker, it prevents calcium from entering blood vessel cells and nerve cells in the brain. This helps stabilise blood vessels in the brain and reduces the over-excitability of nerve cells that can trigger migraines.

• Propranolol (40 mg): This is a non-selective beta-blocker that works by competing with substances that normally stimulate your heart and blood vessels. It reduces heart rate, the force of heart contractions, and blood pressure, which helps prevent the neurovascular inflammatory processes involved in migraine development.

• Store MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10s at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Always keep MIGRAFIN P CAPSULE 10 out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date and do not use the medicine after this date.

• For migraine prevention, maintain a regular eating schedule and avoid known food triggers such as aged cheese, alcohol, and foods containing MSG (monosodium glutamate, a flavour enhancer).

• Keep a migraine diary to identify and avoid personal triggers such as certain weather changes, strong smells, or bright lights that may set off your migraine attacks.
