Melalite 15 Cream is used to reduce hyperpigmentation and lighten dark patches of skin. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as melasma, chloasma, age spots, and uneven skin tone. Regular use may help improve skin appearance and promote a more uniform complexion.

To use Melalite 15 Cream properly, follow these steps:

• Gently massage the cream into your skin until it is fully absorbed.
• Do not let the cream enter your eyes or mouth.

Melalite 15 Cream is applied topically.

Melalite 15 Cream comprises three active ingredients:

• Hydroquinone (2% w/w): This skin-lightening agent works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase in your body. Tyrosinase is responsible for melanin production, which gives colour to your skin. By reducing melanin production, hydroquinone helps lighten hyperpigmented areas of the skin and restore an even skin tone.
• Oxybenzone (2.5% w/w): Classified as a benzophenone derivative, oxybenzone acts as a photoprotective agent by absorbing ultraviolet radiation from the sun, specifically UVB and UVA II rays. By absorbing these harmful rays, it protects your skin from potential sun damage.
• Octinoxate (9% w/w): Octinoxate serves as a sunscreen that absorbs UV-B rays and some UV-A rays from the sun. This filtering action helps prevent further skin damage and hyperpigmentation due to sun exposure.

• Store this medicine at room temperature, below 30 degrees Celsius.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Make sure the cream is out of reach of children.

• Minimise your exposure to the sun while using the cream. If you need to go outside during peak sunlight hours, wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen.
• Incorporate foods rich in antioxidants, like berries, nuts, and green leafy vegetables into your diet as they help to manage hyperpigmentation.
