Gestin Tablet is used to support pregnancy in women at risk of miscarriage and to help prevent premature labour. It is also used to manage certain menstrual disorders such as irregular periods and endometriosis.
It contains allylestrenol, a synthetic form of progesterone that helps maintain the uterine lining during pregnancy. Take it exactly as prescribed; do not skip doses, especially when it is being used to prevent miscarriage. Take it with food to help reduce stomach discomfort.
Adequate rest and regular check-ups to monitor you and your baby support treatment alongside this medicine. Avoid self-adjusting the dose or stopping it without consulting your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any history of blood clots, liver disease, or unexplained vaginal bleeding. Contact your doctor if you notice sudden or severe headaches, vision changes, or unusual vaginal bleeding while taking this medicine.
