Urispas Tablet 15

Urispas Tablet is used to relieve spasms of the urinary tract that cause pain, urgency, and frequent urination. It is commonly prescribed for bladder discomfort linked to urinary tract infections and cystitis. This medicine may also be used after medical procedures involving the urinary tract. It works by relaxing smooth muscles to improve urinary comfort and flow.

Follow these instructions while taking Urispas Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing, chewing or breaking the tablet.
• You may take it with or without food. However, consuming it with meals can help prevent stomach upset.
• Do not adjust your dosage without consulting your doctor.
• If you decide to stop using this medicine, speak to your doctor first.

Urispas Tablet is taken orally.

Urispas Tablet contains flavoxate (200 mg). Its activity on the body includes:

• Muscle Relaxation: Flavoxate works by relaxing the smooth muscles in your bladder and urinary tract.
• Spasm Reduction: As an antispasmodic agent, flavoxate helps reduce involuntary contractions or spasms of these muscles.
• Symptomatic Relief: Flavoxate improves bladder control and reduces discomfort and urinary symptoms associated with muscle spasms in the urinary tract by reducing spasms. However, while it manages these symptoms, it does not treat their underlying cause.

• Store Urispas Tablet in a cool, dry and dark place.
• The ideal storage temperature is between 15°C to 30°C.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
• Make sure to use it before the expiry date printed on the packet.

• Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This can help dilute your urine and decrease urinary symptoms.
• Limit your caffeine intake (including coffee, tea, and soft drinks), as it can aggravate bladder function and potentially intensify symptoms.
