Mahanac P Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with joint and musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It may also be prescribed for the short-term relief of back pain, dental pain, muscle strains, and sprains.
It contains aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic. Take this tablet with or immediately after food, as prescribed by your doctor, to reduce stomach irritation. Swallow it whole with water. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration prescribed, and do not increase the dose or continue treatment longer than advised.
For chronic joint conditions, gentle low-impact exercise and maintaining a healthy body weight may help improve mobility and manage symptoms. Warm or cold compresses may also help, depending on the condition. Avoid activities that worsen the pain or place excessive strain on the affected area.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma or an allergic reaction triggered by aspirin or another NSAID, liver or kidney disease, high blood pressure, or heart disease. Do not take other NSAIDs or paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time unless advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding. This medicine must not be used during the third trimester of pregnancy and should be used earlier in pregnancy only if your doctor considers it clearly necessary.
