It is a combination medicine containing follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, with sodium chloride as the carrying solution, and belongs to a class of medicines called gonadotrophins (fertility hormones).
This medicine works by stimulating the ovaries to develop follicles and release eggs in women with ovulation problems, and it also supports treatment cycles such as IVF. In men with a hormonal deficiency, it helps support sperm production. It is given as an injection by or as directed by a doctor or healthcare professional, and the dose and duration are set by your doctor.
Attend all scan and blood test appointments advised by your doctor, as they are used to monitor your response and adjust treatment safely.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about your medical conditions, any allergies, all other medicines or supplements you take, and if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
