CompositionLtk H Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults when single-medicine therapy is insufficient. It also helps reduce stroke risk in patients with high blood pressure and an enlarged heart muscle, and protects kidney function in diabetic patients.
It contains losartan and hydrochlorothiazide, combining an angiotensin II receptor blocker with a diuretic (water tablet). Losartan relaxes blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove excess fluid and salt. Take it once daily at the same time, with or without food. Continue taking it as prescribed, as blood pressure control requires continuous management.
Dietary and lifestyle adjustments support blood pressure management. These include maintaining a low-salt diet, staying physically active, controlling weight, and limiting alcohol intake.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have severe kidney or liver disease, gout, low blood potassium levels, or are taking other blood pressure tablets. It is strictly not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your doctor may check your kidney function and electrolyte levels periodically.
