Telmiride Amh Tablet 10

Telmiride AMH Tablet is used to manage the following conditions:

• Regulation of high blood pressure or hypertension.

• Management of hypertension when other singular therapies have not been sufficient.

• Reduction of cardiovascular risks associated with uncontrolled hypertension.

• Use as a substitute for individually titrated components of amlodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, and telmisartan, when these are already being used for managing blood pressure.

• Please note that Telmiride AMH Tablet is not recommended for initial therapy or in patients with severe renal impairment or anuria.

Here are some instructions for taking Telmiride AMH Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew it.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

• Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor first.

Telmiride AMH Tablet is made up of three active ingredients that work together to manage hypertension:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): A dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions into the smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. This action leads to vasodilation which reduces peripheral vascular resistance and lowers blood pressure.

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): A thiazide diuretic that works by decreasing blood volume. It inhibits reabsorption of sodium and chloride in renal tubules, thus increasing urinary excretion of these ions along with water. By reducing cardiac output and encouraging vasodilation through prostacyclin release, it further helps lower blood pressure.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker that selectively inhibits the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor. This action results in vasodilation, reduced secretion of vasopressin, and decreased production and secretion of aldosterone, all contributing to a decrease in blood pressure.

• Store Telmiride AMH Tablet at room temperature, ideally not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep it protected from light and moisture to maintain the efficacy of the medicine.

• Always keep it out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Ensure you use this medicine before its expiry date, which is clearly mentioned on the packaging.

• If you are using Telmiride AMH Tablet for managing high blood pressure, consider a diet low in salt. Too much sodium can exacerbate hypertension, so limit your intake.

• Regular physical activity is beneficial. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise such as walking, cycling, or swimming most days of the week. This helps in maintaining a healthy blood pressure level. However, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
