Tyrodin Tablet 10

Tyrodin Tablet is used in adults to manage heavy menstrual bleeding and to control excessive bleeding associated with surgical procedures, dental treatment, nosebleeds and hereditary angioedema.

Uses of Tyrodin Tablet are:

• Heavy Menstrual Bleeding: Helps reduce excessive blood loss during periods (menorrhagia).
• Surgical Bleeding Control: Reduces excessive blood loss during and after surgical procedures.
• Dental and Nosebleed Management: Controls bleeding during dental procedures and prolonged or heavy nosebleeds.
• Hereditary Angioedema: Helps reduce the frequency of swelling attacks associated with this condition.

• Managing heavy menstrual bleeding, also known as menorrhagia.

• Control of excessive blood loss during surgical procedures.

• Handling of excessive bleeding during dental procedures.

• Management of nosebleeds that are heavy or prolonged.

• Assistance in controlling episodes of swelling and pain in hereditary angioedema.

Tyrodin Tablet is taken orally.

Tyrodin Tablet consists of tranexamic acid (250 mg), which works as follows:

• Slows Down Breakdown of Blood Clots: Tranexamic acid acts by slowing down the process of blood clot breakdown in your body. Blood clots are beneficial as they help stop bleeding when you're injured.

• Inhibits Activation of Plasminogen: Plasminogen is a substance in your body that gets converted into an enzyme called plasmin. Tranexamic acid prevents this conversion. Plasmin is responsible for breaking down fibrin clots, which are essential for blood clotting.

• Reduces Excessive Bleeding: By inhibiting the activation of plasminogen to plasmin and slowing down the breakdown of blood clots, Tranexamic Acid effectively helps manage excessive bleeding.

• Store Tyrodin Tablet below 30°C, in a cool and dry place.

• Protect from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children to prevent accidental consumption.

• Always check the expiry date before use; do not use if expired.

• Since Tyrodin Tablet is used to manage heavy menstrual bleeding, ensure you stay well-hydrated by drinking enough fluids. This helps compensate for the fluid loss during your periods.

• Maintain a balanced diet rich in iron, such as leafy greens and red meat, to replenish the iron lost during heavy bleeding. Iron deficiency can lead to anaemia which can make you feel weak or tired.
