Lobet 100 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure, including during pregnancy and in blood pressure emergencies, and to manage angina. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing labetalol, and belongs to a class of medicines called combined alpha- and beta-blockers.
This medicine is also used to manage a tumour of the adrenal gland (phaeochromocytoma) in adults, and it works by relaxing the blood vessels and slowing the heart, which lowers blood pressure. Take it as prescribed. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active within your limits and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any asthma, liver problems, a very slow heart rate or heart failure before starting this medicine, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report a very slow pulse or marked breathlessness, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly or unless your doctor advises you to do so, as this can be harmful.
