Linapride-M 500 Tablet is used for the following:

• Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus
• Blood sugar control in adults
• Management of high blood glucose levels
• Supplement to diet and exercise for diabetes
• Initial therapy for newly diagnosed diabetes
• Add-on therapy when other diabetes medicines fail
• Prevention of diabetic complications
• Improvement of insulin sensitivity
• Reduction of glucose production by the liver

Follow these instructions while taking Linapride-M 500 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Continue taking this medicine regularly as advised by your doctor.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Linapride-M 500 Tablet is taken orally.

Linapride-M 500 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Linagliptin (2.5 mg): This is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases levels of incretin hormones in your body. These hormones stimulate your pancreas to produce more insulin when your blood sugar is high and also reduce glucagon secretion from the pancreas, slowing down the liver's glucose production.
• Metformin (500 mg): This biguanide, works by decreasing the amount of glucose absorbed from food in your intestines. It also reduces glucose production in the liver and increases your body's sensitivity to insulin, which helps your muscles absorb more glucose from the blood.

• Store Linapride-M 500 Tablet at room temperature not exceeding 30°C.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed to protect it from moisture.
• Do not store in the bathroom or other damp places.
• Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
• Check the expiry date and do not use the medicine after it has expired.

• Monitor your carbohydrate intake by choosing complex carbohydrates (like whole grains and vegetables) over simple sugars (like sweets and fizzy drinks) to help maintain steady blood glucose levels throughout the day.
• Engage in regular physical activity, such as a 30-minute brisk walk five times weekly, as exercise helps your muscles use glucose more efficiently and improves insulin sensitivity.
