CompositionLinacord 5 Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, helping control blood sugar to lower the long-term risk of complications, alongside diet and exercise.
It contains linagliptin, a DPP-4 inhibitor. It works by boosting the body's own gut hormones so it releases more insulin after meals and makes less glucose. On its own it does not usually cause low blood sugar.
Take it as prescribed, with or without food, as prescribed.
Tell your doctor about any pancreas problems before use, and about other diabetes medicines, as combining with certain ones can cause low blood sugar. Seek urgent help for severe, ongoing stomach pain (rarely, pancreatitis), and report new or worsening joint pain.
