Levofloxacin works by stopping bacteria from copying their genetic material, which kills the bacteria and clears the infection, and it is effective against a broad range of susceptible bacteria across different body systems.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, with or without food, and complete the full course of treatment even if you begin to feel better.
Avoid exposure to bright sunlight, as this medicine can increase sensitivity to UV light. If you develop tendon pain or swelling during treatment, stop the medicine and contact your doctor promptly.
