Lenvatol 4 Capsule 10

LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of differentiated thyroid cancer

• Management of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer)

• Therapy for advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer)

• Treatment of advanced endometrial cancer

• Cancer management after other therapies have failed

• Controlling tumour growth in specific cancers

• Blocking cancer cell proliferation

• Preventing the formation of new blood vessels in tumours

• Treating cancers that cannot be surgically removed

• Management of cancers resistant to radioactive iodine treatment

Follow these instructions while taking LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsules.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10 is taken orally.

LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10 contains lenvatinib (4 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• VEGF receptor inhibition: Lenvatinib blocks vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR1, VEGFR2, and VEGFR3), which prevents the formation of new blood vessels that tumours need to grow and survive.

• FGF receptor blocking: It inhibits fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR1-4), which play a crucial role in tumour development and progression.

• PDGFR inhibition: The medicine blocks platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFRα), preventing signals that promote cancer cell growth.

• RET and KIT receptor targeting: Lenvatinib stops the activity of these receptors, which are involved in cellular processes that can lead to cancer development.

• Anti-angiogenesis effect: By blocking multiple receptors, it effectively starves tumours of nutrients by preventing the formation of blood vessels that supply the cancer.

• Store LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10 at room temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use.

• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Store out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.

• If you are managing thyroid, liver, or kidney cancer with LENVATOL 4 CAPSULE 10, maintain a protein-rich diet with lean meats, eggs, and plant proteins to help support your body during treatment.

• Stay well-hydrated by drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily to help your kidneys filter waste products more effectively, which is especially important when taking medicines that affect kidney function.
