Follow these instructions while taking LCD 125 Tablet:

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

Never stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

LCD 125 Tablet is taken orally.

LCD 125 Tablet may have the following common side effects:

Nausea and vomiting
Dizziness and lightheadedness
Dry mouth
Insomnia
Dyskinesia: These are involuntary movements that you cannot control, such as twitching, writhing, or jerking of your limbs or face.
Orthostatic hypotension: This is a sudden drop in blood pressure when you stand up, which can make you feel dizzy or faint.

LCD 125 Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to manage Parkinson's disease symptoms:

Levodopa (100 mg): This is a precursor of dopamine, a neurotransmitter (brain chemical) that helps control movement. Once levodopa crosses the blood-brain barrier (the protective membrane separating the bloodstream from brain tissue), it converts into dopamine in the brain, replenishing the deficient levels of this important neurotransmitter.
Carbidopa (25 mg): This component is decarboxylase inhibitor, prevents the premature breakdown of levodopa outside the brain. By blocking an enzyme called decarboxylase in peripheral tissues, carbidopa ensures that more levodopa reaches the brain where it's needed.

Pregnancy

Caution is advised while taking LCD 125 Tablet if you are pregnant. It is best to consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Breastfeeding

Caution is advised while taking LCD 125 Tablet during breastfeeding. Levodopa passes into breast milk, and your baby should be monitored for possible side effects. If you are breastfeeding, discuss with your doctor before using this medicine.

Alcohol

Tricyclic antidepressants: Medicines such as amitriptyline or imipramine may increase the risk of side effects when taken with LCD 125 Tablet.
Iron supplements: Products containing ferrous sulphate or fumarate can bind to levodopa and reduce its absorption, decreasing its effectiveness.
