Lacotide 100 Tablet is used to manage partial-onset seizures in adults. It is a single-ingredient antiepileptic medicine containing lacosamide.
It is also used as add-on therapy for primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in people aged four years and older. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this may increase the risk of seizures; any change should be gradual under medical guidance.
Get adequate sleep, avoid alcohol and attend regular neurological check-ups to support seizure control.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. It is not suitable during pregnancy without medical advice. Report any unusual tremor, difficulty with coordination or vision changes. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
