Lacotide 100 Tablet is used to manage partial-onset seizures in adults. It belongs to a group of medicines called antiepileptics, which help prevent and control seizures.
This medicine is also used as an add-on therapy for primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in people aged four years and older. Take it orally as prescribed. Do not stop taking it suddenly, as this may increase the risk of seizures; changes should be made gradually under medical guidance.
Getting adequate sleep, avoiding alcohol, and attending regular neurological check-ups can help support seizure control alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems, or are taking other medicines. Report any unusual tremor, difficulty with coordination, or vision changes. It is not suitable during pregnancy without medical advice.
